What charges apply to making a payment with OrbitRemit?
For some destinations our payment fees may vary depending on the amount being sent.
In all cases, your first payment with OrbitRemit is free of any payment fees.

What currency exchange rate will apply to my payment?
When you complete your transfer through the system you will be given an exchange rate, which will match the rate quoted on the website.
All in cases, this is the actual rate you will receive and it will apply to your transaction as long as you immediately transfer funds to our account.
Please note: If you do not immediately transfer funds to cover the value of your transaction and the fee applicable then we reserve the right to cancel your transaction.
Is OrbitRemit cheaper than the banks?
We are significantly cheaper than the banks whether you are sending $100 or $5000 (or $50,000+).
An independent price comparison service* calculated that on a $1200 transfer from Australia to New Zealand or the United Kingdom with OrbitRemit the beneficiary would receive close to an extra AUD$80 when compared with sending through a major high street bank.
(Based on comparisons performed on www.fxcompared.com, which also do not factor in bank receiving fees in destination country which are often in excees of AUD25.00).
Is there a receiving fee to be paid at the other end?
NO! Unlike the banks we do not charge a receiving fee at the beneficiary end. The fee that you pay from the originating country is the only fee associated with the payment and the amount sent to your beneficiary is the amount they will receive.
How can OrbitRemit provide money transfer services so much cheaper than the banks?
Obviously the banks are burdened with huge rental and marketing costs. As a purely online business we are able to operate with a much lower cost structure and pass these savings on to our customers in the form of more competitive rates and lower fees.
Is it true that my first payment is free of charge?
Yes. We currently have a promotion on for all new customers and your first payment will be without a fee, In addition every 10th payment is free.
